It’s not every day that I get to capture a surprise proposal in the moment. This couple was traveling to Ireland from the United States, and the boyfriend had planned a very romantic proposal at the Cliffs of Moher. I was able to blend into the crowd so I could capture the entire proposal secretly. The groom-to-be offered to take a picture of his girlfriend, and when she turned around, he was proposing on one knee.
I love that in the photos you can see her emotional reaction and tearful smiles. We followed up with some posed photos, and the two of them were simply brimming with happiness. I’m sure that this is a day the couple will remember forever, and I’m so glad I could be there to photograph it.
