Home Garden Wedding Mayo
I love, love, love it when couples personalize their wedding. So, I had such an exciting time at Heather and Jarlath’s Home Garden wedding Mayo.
It was a beautiful, fun time spent with family and loved ones. Every detail was well curated and aimed at making sure everyone was happy.
For this wedding, the couple had three wedding venues. The ceremony was at St Colman’s Church Claremorris Mayo.
They then had cocktail hour at the Western Hotel also in Claremorris and the reception happened at the Big Red Barn, Ballyhowley, Knock, Mayo.
This summer home garden wedding Ireland had so much to offer and I am glad I got to document it.
There were many beautiful memories that I’m sure the couple will enjoy sharing for the rest of their lives. Here’s a summary of how the day went and how much fun we all had.
- The Wedding Venues
St Colman’s Church Claremorris Mayo is a beautiful edifice with stunning architecture. It was built and dedicated to Our Lady of Good Counsel in 1911.
This church is mainly known as St Colman’s because Saint Colman is the patron saint of Claremorris.
The Western Hotel Claremorris is where Heather and Jarlath had their cocktail hour.
This lovely and traditional family owned hotel provided just the right atmosphere for guests to relax.
It’s a very picturesque location with lovely wooden details.
The wedding party of this Summer home wedding in Ireland happened at the beautiful Big Red Barn, Ballyhowley House, Ballyhowley.
This gorgeous red barn had lovely wooden details beautiful lighting. It helped to set the right mood at this wedding celebration.
- Getting Ready
I started the day documenting the special moments that this couple had with loved ones as they got ready. Heather prepared with her bridal party and they had fun getting their hair and makeup done.
I also captured the beautiful moment where she popped a champagne with her bridesmaids dressed in matching robes.
Once she was ready and dressed, she had a first look with her bridesmaids who were also dressed.
I took beautiful photos of this moment and bridal portraits.
I also took pictures of the groom as his got ready with his groomsmen and family.
He was dressed to the nines and looked fabulous in his navy-blue wedding suit.
Everyone was excited and in high spirits for the wedding.
Another that I love to do on wedding mornings in capture important little details.
These include things like the wedding rings, the brides dress and shoes, the wedding program and the bouquet.
I did the same for this wedding and also captured the views before we all headed to church.
- The Wedding Ceremony
The wedding car at this Home Garden Wedding in Mayo was a lovely Volkswagen bus.
There was a miniature version of this bus as part of the couple’s décor which made it very special.
Jarlath looked really happy as his bride joined him and the altar and then the wedding started in full.
At the ceremony, this couple had a candle lighting ritual and then the priest led them to take their vows.
Then they shared their first kiss as a married couple and walked out to cheers and applause from their guests and loved ones.
- The Wedding Day Photo shoot
I had a beautiful time taking pictures of this couple and their wedding party for the wedding day photo shoot. We used the Volkswagen bus and balloons as a backdrop and it was gorgeous.
I also captured the couple and their wedding party in a wooden walkway.
The bride and her bridesmaids looked really happy as they used the swing for a group portrait.
So did they bride and groom who shared a kiss.
I also documented the bride and the kids in her bridal party and then the couple again as they arrived at the big red barn. It was beautiful.
- The Wedding Reception
The big red barn was a lovely wedding reception space for this summer Home Garden Wedding Mayo.
The menu was delicious and I loved that this couple had both a wedding band and a DJ to entertain guests. When they arrived, their loved ones and guests were so excited to see them.
Special moments that I captured at this wedding reception include the toast, the first dance and the general dance where everyone had so much fun.
The couple also lighted a floating lantern which was a very beautiful moment.
- Final Words
I love weddings and I had a beautiful time documenting this couple’s special day.
I used my candid wedding photography skills, my nature photography skills and great eye for detail at this celebration.
Thank you for letting me be a part of and document the special moments at your wedding, Heather and Jarlath. I wish you both joy and happiness always.
