Amazing Winter Wedding at Rathsallagh House
It was a particularly cold morning, the house was decorated like any modern day Irish home. A statement cuckoo clock and glass chinaware were all in their strategic places, but this day wasn’t about the house, neither was it about its ornaments. It was about a wedding, it was about love, family and unity.
A man
The Groom’s suit hung under the chandelier as he was about dressing up. He looked happy as he and his best men were having their last drink before he ties the knot. He looked happy, they were all happy, reliving old memories and thankful for his bride. It was time to get dressed.
He wore his crisp white shirt, cuff-links, half jacket, shoes, accessories, and a suit jacket. He had never looked more excited to get married, who could blame him. Let’s check on the bride, shall we?
His Bride
Her smile was infectious and we can say she was indeed glowing on this fine morning. Getting her makeup done, inch by inch, while her dress, tiara, and accessories lay in wait of adornment. Her bridesmaids were present to cheer her on once she emerged looking like something out of a fairy-tale.
Now it was time for the dress. She really looked stunning and she couldn’t help but smile at her reflection. She slipped on her ‘something blue’ (her shoe), got her veil installed and had the last charming conversation with her family as a single woman. It was indeed cold so he wore a fur scarf, something really chic and classy.
Heading to the church
The Church was so beautiful and scenic. The Groom and his men were already at the altar, waiting for his favorite person. Her bridesmaids led the procession, and then she was seen walking down the aisle in her mother’s arms. She kissed the groom’s cheeks and handed her daughter over to him, in the presence of God, friends, and family.
Now they stood, hand in hand, face to face, ready to become man and wife. Their vows were beautiful and their ring exchange brought tears to the eyes of men. They shared their first kiss as husband and wife and lit their candles together. They were declared man and wife by the priest before they were cheered by the congregation.
The after party
Many hugs from friends and family as they marched out of the church a married couple. The reception was completely cozy and beautiful. Lots of pictures were taken as a reminder of the beauty of their love. Everyone was having a good time, taking shots of their ‘prescription’ and dancing the night away. He swooped her into his arms, carried her under a beautifully lit tree, away from friends and family.
Just a man and his wife having their alone time, enjoying each other’s company. But sadly they had to get back to the party. They were indeed missed. It was time for the toast and lots of heartfelt messages came in which brought tears to the Groom’s eyes. Well, he wiped those tears just in time for the cake cutting ritual.
Next came the nuptial dance, and everyone watched in admiration before they joined them on the dance floor. It was a wedding like no other and we’re glad we captured every minute of it.
