Jean and Marley’s Rustic Wedding
I have loved rustic weddings for a long time. Their relaxed and fun atmosphere has a way of translating into gorgeous wedding pictures and fun for me too. It was the same at Jean and Marley’s wedding. They had their wedding ceremony at Trinity College in Dublin and reception at Lisnavagh House in County Carlow. Come with me as I take you on the journey that was Jean and Marley’s wedding in Ireland.
Getting Ready
I started the day by capturing some beautiful prewedding shots of the bride’s bouquet, the bridesmaid’s bouquet, shoes and the bride going through a lovely “This Is Your Life” scrapbook. I was also able to get shots of the wedding dress, the dresses of the bridesmaids, everyone getting ready, and Jean’s, dad looking through the lovely scrapbook with one of the bridesmaids too. Jean got ready with her family, and there were some beautifully emotional moments as you’ll see in the photos below. After that, we headed to Trinity College in Dublin, where the marriage ceremony took place.
The Ceremony
The venue for this wedding ceremony at Trinity College Dublin was a magnificent edifice that added lots of elegance to the service as the wedding procession took place. I was able to capture the bridesmaids walking into the ceremony, and Jean being escorted down the aisle while Marley waited at the altar. I also captured the ring exchange, the first kiss and the couple’s excited exit from the ceremony as a married couple. There were then able to share hugs with their more than ready loved ones. There were lots of smiles all round, and everyone seemed happy to be there. This was a lovely quiet ceremony with no stress at all.
What Stood Out About This Wedding
First, the bride’s wedding dress was so simple and elegant. It suited her beautiful. I also loved the fact that the bouquets at this wedding in going with the rustic theme were more greenery than flowers. They looked lovely. The small wedding party of just four persons also made this ceremony, unique, intimate and perfect. From here, everyone headed to Lisnavagh, which was the venue of the reception.
The Photoshoot
While their guests settled in for the cocktail hour and mingled, I was able to sneak Jean, Marley and their wedding party away for some lovely pictures. But not before capturing some shots of guests at cocktail hour with pipes being played to entertain. I was then able to capture the couple and their wedding party in a lovely artistic way. Honestly, I love the almost monochromatic vibe of their pictures. It gave so much life to their rustic wedding theme. After this, it was time to head in for the reception.
The Wedding Reception
Lisnavagh House has an aura of homeliness and grandeur to it that made it the perfect place for Jean and Marley’s reception. It is an excellent place for a family-style wedding reception gathering just like this couple had. The venue looked amazing with the candlelight dinner and beautiful décor like the lilac table runner. I captured Jean and Marley coming in to join their guests at their reception and all the touching speeches that were given. I also captured the couple giving their vote of thanks and the lovely toast to the wedding couple. The first dance was also beautiful, and then it was party and fun galore.
