Joy, elegance, magic and love. Those are the first words that come to mind whenever I think of this Broadhaven Bay Hotel Wedding. It was an Easter celebration with lots of laughter, and I had a great time capturing their Mayo wedding photography.

Here at Art Wedding Photography, I love weddings that are personalized and fun. These are the most memorable celebrations, and it is always a delight to document them. Maureen and John had a wedding that fit this description. Here is how their fun day went.

The Wedding Venue

Broadhaven Bay Hotel is a delightful Mayo wedding venue known for wonderful celebrations. It has fantastic ocean views, breathtaking event spaces and can cater to both small and large weddings. I had a lovely time capturing this couple’s Mayo wedding photography here.

Broadhaven Bay Hotel is also known for its dedicated staff and lovely wedding packages. Every guest at Maureen and John’s celebration had a wonderful time. I also enjoyed using this fabulous wedding venue as a backdrop to this couple’s lovely wedding pictures.

Getting Ready

I started this Mayo wedding photography session, capturing the bride Maureen as she and her ladies got ready. They had so much fun in matching robes as they had a pillow fight, had their hair and makeup done and popped champagne.

I also captured important details like the wedding dress, brides’ shoes and the natural bouquets made of greenery. Everything looked fabulous and complimented the theme of this wedding. I made sure to capture and document it all so that this couple can enjoy this properly in future.

Maureen shared her wedding day gift amongst her bridal party just before she put on her gown. Then she stepped out in her lovely dress that awed everyone and brought happy tears to her mother’s eyes. The gorgeous satin gown perfectly complemented her bridesmaid’s dresses.

I also captured John and his groomsmen as part of the getting ready ritual at this wedding. They had on lovely brown tweed suits, and we made use of the ocean views. They also had a great time sharing beers and playing with a ball. Then it was time for the wedding ceremony.

The Wedding Ceremony

The joy on Maureen and John’s faces as they both said their vows were beautiful. Their wedding ceremony had beautiful aspects like a candle lighting ceremony and the ring exchange. When it was time to share their first kiss as a married couple, everyone cheered as John raised a fist in victory. It was a fun time.

After the ceremony, the couple walked out to a meet and greet with their delighted loved ones. I had time to take some fantastic photos outside the ceremony venue before we headed away for the wedding day photoshoot.

Mayo Wedding Day Photography Session

Maureen, John and their wedding party were the subjects of this wedding day photoshoot. It was lots of fun. It took place at the beach, which meant everyone was relaxed and ready to have fun. The joy and laughter were visible in every portrait that I captured.

Some of the props we used for this photoshoot were balloons and a surfboard. I had a great time taking pictures of the couple and their wedding party with these before they sent the balloons flying away.

Next, it was time for the couple portraits, and Maureen and John looked fabulous in them. I also took pictures of the bride with the bridesmaids, the groom with the groomsmen and everyone together. Then it was time to head back for the remaining festivities at this Broadhaven Bay Hotel Wedding.

The Wedding Reception

Maureen and John’s wedding reception started with the wedding party dancing into the celebration. The couple then followed, with everyone delighted to welcome them. I must commend the décor and atmosphere at this Broadhaven Bay Hotel wedding. It was lovely to document.

After the entrances, things got right to the speeches, which were genuine and filled with joy. Guests especially loved the thank you speech from John on behalf of the couple. I also added more photos to their Mayo wedding photography album by capturing them lounging. Then it was time for the party.

The couple first had their romantic first dance surrounded by loved ones and family. Then everyone joined in, and it was fun galore. I had a lovely time documenting this all. Thank you for letting me be a part of your wonderful celebration Maureen and John. I wish you both the best now and always.
