Carton House Summer Wedding

This wedding had all of the best elements of a Jane Austen novel: beautiful countryside, an elegant mansion, and (of course) romance. The ceremony and reception took place at Carton House in Maynooth outside of Dublin, where a sprawling stone façade and charming gardens created the perfect setting.

I felt lucky to be working with the bride and groom, who were so excited to be saying their vows and to share such a special event with their friends and family. The day began with a beautiful ceremony that included moving vows, a sand ceremony, and a candle lighting ceremony. Afterwards, Carton House was the ideal setting for some romantic portraits of the bride and groom (and for some less serious shots of the jubilant wedding party).

The reception was an incredible amount of fun, but my personal favorite moment was taking pictures of the bride and groom out in the estate as the sun went down. Mr. Darcy and Elizabeth Bennet could hardly have looked more romantic.
