Castle Durrow Wedding
Castle Durrow Wedding
Dervla and Gavin had a beautiful August Castle Durrow Wedding that I had a lovely time documenting. It had so many unique and personal details. I also loved the use of alternative entertainment like a caricature artist.
Castle Durrow is a fabulous wedding venue. The views are magnificent and there is a luxurious vibe to the atmosphere. Here’s how the day went when I documented this beautiful summer wedding in Castle Durrow.
- The Wedding Venues
Dervla and Gavin first had their wedding ceremony at the beautiful Church of the Most Holy Rosary in Abbeyleix. This magnificent edifice features breathtaking art, a majestic dome and mosaic floors. The lighting at this church is also really lovely.
The Wedding Reception and party then happened at Castle Durrow. This magical castle will have you feeling like royalty on your day with extensive gardens and beautiful scenery. You’ll also love the impeccable service that you and your guests will receive at your wedding.
- Getting Ready
This beautiful Summer wedding in Castle Durrow started with me capturing the couple as they got ready for their celebration. I took pictures of the wedding venue looking all serene, and other important details like the wedding dress.
Dervla the bride looked really happy and excited getting ready with her bridal party. They all had their hair and makeup done, and then the bride popped a champagne to celebrate. The moment where she finally put on her gown was magical too. I captured some bridal side profiles at this point.
- The Wedding Ceremony
Dervla looked like a princess arriving at her wedding ceremony in a vintage car. Guests and the groom were already seated and waiting when she walked down the aisle with her dad. Gavin the groom looked so happy to see her.
For the rest of the ceremony, I made myself scarce using my candid wedding photography to capture the special moments without being noticed. The officiating priest at the Church of the Most Holy Rosary did a fantastic job. Then it was time for the couple to exchange rings and share their first married kiss.
After the ceremony, the couple walked outside to cheers from family and loved ones. Guests formed a receiving line and blew bubbles which was really great for the picture. Dervla and Gavin then had a meet and greet with their guests.
- Cocktail Hour and Wedding Day Photoshoot
Cocktail hour is where we first see the caricature artist and I took a picture of him drawing guests. Everyone relaxed and had drinks while I sneaked the couple away for their wedding day photoshoot. There was also a string quartet playing to keep guests entertained at the event.
Dervla and Gavin looked fabulous as they posed for their wedding day pictures. I captured them taking a walk on their driveway and the beautiful manicured lawns. The trees at Castle Durrow also made a beautiful backdrop for a lot of the photos.
- The Wedding Reception
The wedding reception of this summer wedding in Castle Durrow was beautiful and fun. Before the couple arrived at the reception, I took lovely indoor portraits of them with the stairs and chandelier. The reception was indoors and I took pictures of the settings and the lovely décor too.
Guest were seated and happily applauded when the couple arrived for the wedding reception. The celebration itself was a fun time with the moving string quartet, and the fun speeches by loved ones. I especially loved that this couple gave their tables tourist destinations as names.
- In Conclusion
I, the couple, and their honored guests had a lovely time at this Summer wedding in Castle Durrow. The overall vibe of the wedding was fun and I especially loved the personalized elements of their celebration. Thank you, Dervla and Gavin, for letting me be a part of and document your special day. I wish you both and your loved ones, happiness and joy, now and always.
